TLP (Traffic Light Protocol)
What is TLP (Traffic Light Protocol)? Plain-language definition from the CybrCrime Intel Library.
The Traffic Light Protocol, or TLP, is a simple labelling system that tells recipients how widely they may share sensitive information. It is maintained by FIRST, a global community of incident response teams, and the current version is TLP 2.0. The labels are: TLP:CLEAR, which can be shared publicly; TLP:GREEN, shared within the community but not posted publicly; TLP:AMBER, shared only within the recipient's organisation and its clients on a need-to-know basis; TLP:AMBER+STRICT, the recipient's organisation only; and TLP:RED, for the named recipients only. If you are unsure, ask the source before sharing. Never remove or downgrade a label yourself.
