Router

What is Router? Plain-language definition from the CybrCrime Intel Library.

A router is the box that connects your home or office to the internet and creates your Wi-Fi network. Every phone, laptop, TV and smart device in the building talks through it, which makes it the front door of your digital home. Routers have a Wi-Fi password for joining the network and a separate admin password for changing settings. To keep yours safe, change any default admin password, use WPA3 or WPA2 security, set a long Wi-Fi password, keep the firmware (its built-in software) updated, and switch off features you do not use, like WPS and remote management. Replace routers that no longer receive updates.
