App permissions

What is App permissions? Plain-language definition from the CybrCrime Intel Library.

App permissions control what an app can access on your phone or computer, such as your location, camera, microphone, contacts, photos, files, Bluetooth and notifications. Apps must ask for most of these, and you can change your answer at any time in Settings. A good rule is to give each app only what it really needs to do its job. Choose "Allow once" or "While using the app" for location, and share selected photos instead of your whole library. Be suspicious of simple apps asking for lots of access, and review your permissions every few months to remove access you no longer want to give.
